About Issue III

Thank you for visiting the third edition of The Field Guide Poetry Magazine.
This issue is the first of its kind. It follows the debut redesign that determined its aesthetic, it’s the largest issue we’ve published so far, and it’s our first September issue. We are exceedingly grateful to our supporters who made this possible — there is no way we could have done it without our contributors, Patrons, subscribers, and followers.
As I reviewed all the pieces here, autumn was on my mind. I opened the windows in my apartment to the cool, outdoor air, walked with my son through leaf piles in our apartment complex, and saw hints of the season in this issue. The theme of harvest appears as the rediscovery of one’s passion, gleaning peace and a sense of self from nature, finding purpose in the past, and more.
I was absolutely delighted to work with the contributors and design this issue. I hope you discover your own harvest in reading it.

Happy reading,
Amanda Marrero
