A Little Poem of Vegas Fire

Untucked the covers: from grey Dawn pink blushes slate to silver,
And the sun is born goldening the garden where the apples fell
From eden to dent Uranus where the freckles show shining light
And silver above the Nevada shore where Life, the waters, dried.

Mountainheart, the heavy snows of life bear; run, cool Phlegethon,
Down the rock, and damp the love that’s sun on sun, desert atop
A desert, teaching heat to heat and making him cry Hot, begging
For the ocean to be brought. Sweet fire Phlegethon, burn me sweet.
