Second Place

Cats are big and cats are small,
But I don’t fancy cats at all:

Cats are quiet, cats are all
Artists of a baneful hall,
Bakers of a fishy bread
Wishing that we all were dead,
Actors on a feline stage
Filled with laughter and with rage.

(All the cats are being banned —
Lambent beauty fills the land!)

Under dappled days they lie,
Devious and padding sly.
